Downtime isn't something I get much of.
From a personal creative perspective, I am always keen to help artists and creatives of all types and ages find personal growth and industry success. When the chance arises I give mentorship and support – whether its helping to forge a definitive career path, building a personal or business brand that works, or simply helping creatives to get ideas out of their heads and into reality.
I've also supported the High Peak area's Cultural and Heritage strategy, serving as an advisory board member. This amazing initiative is aimed at making cultural, creative, arts and heritage activities thrive in the area, be more connected and accessible for all.
My wife runs an incredible Master Florists here in Glossop, so other time is filled with supporting the business. Branding and marketing is a given, but I'm also found sweeping floors, feeding troops and building installations. Floristry is a creative industry in its own right, and I'll never cease to be amazed by what can be achieved with natural materials.
As a bonus (and because we like throwing ourselves in at the deep end), we have recently launched a gin. It's proving a fascinating industry to test ourselves in - myself from building a highly personal product identity and presence, from my wife in creating an alcoholic drink inspired by her work, and both of us testing our business acumen and learning at speed.
Other than that, you will find me on a hill, in a whisky distillery, exploring historical places, being far too politically engaged, rewatching Wes Anderson movies, cooking, or thinking about what to cook.
